Payment Processing

Payments for repairs are processed securely by Square, a third-party payment provider. Screen Fixed does not store your full card details. Square handles payment data in accordance with PCI DSS standards.

Communications

We send automated emails and SMS messages related to your repairs, including appointment confirmations, quote documents, shipping instructions for mail-in repairs, and status updates. These are service communications, not marketing.

Your Device and Its Data

We understand that your device contains highly sensitive personal information. When you entrust your device to Screen Fixed for repair, we take this responsibility seriously.

We Do Not Access Your Personal Data

Our repairs are hardware-focused. Screen Fixed technicians do not browse, copy, transfer, or extract any personal data from your device. We have no interest in your photos, messages, contacts, emails, banking information, health data, or any other content stored on your device. Accessing customer data without consent is a serious violation of our internal policies.

When Device Access May Be Required

For certain repairs such as screen replacements, we may need to power on your device to verify that the repair was completed successfully — for example, testing touch responsiveness or display quality. If a passcode is required for this testing, we will request it from you. Any passcode provided is used solely for repair verification and is not recorded or retained after your device is returned.

Data Loss and Backup Responsibility

While we take every precaution, hardware repairs carry an inherent risk of data loss. Screen and battery replacements, water damage treatment, and other procedures can in rare cases result in data being lost or the device becoming unresponsive. We strongly recommend that you back up your device before submitting it for repair. Screen Fixed cannot be held responsible for data loss that occurs during the repair process.

Physical Security of Your Device

Devices in our care are stored securely in our workshop with access restricted to authorised repair technicians. For mail-in repairs, devices are handled with the same security standards from the moment they arrive at our facility until they are returned to you. We verify your identity before releasing any device back to you.

If you have concerns about sensitive data on your device, you may choose to perform a factory reset before submitting it for repair, or ask our team about additional precautions we can take for your specific situation.
