These terms and conditions govern the relationship between you and Screen Fixed (Screen Care Pty Ltd, ABN 23 623 258 499) regarding the use of our website and repair services.

Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website, creating an account, or using any of our repair services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

Screen Fixed reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Repair services, online booking, account features, and all current and future offerings

BER

Beyond Economical Repair — where repair costs exceed the device's full replacement value

TAT

Turnaround Time — the estimated duration for completing a repair

Faulty Part

A non-functional part as determined by Screen Fixed's assessment

Accounts & Online Booking

Our website offers user accounts and an online repair booking system to streamline your experience.

User Accounts

Accounts are created using your mobile phone number and verified via SMS code. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate contact information and keep it up to date.

Online Repair Booking

Our booking system guides you through device selection, repair selection, service type choice, and customer details. Submitting a booking constitutes a request for service, not a binding contract. Screen Fixed reserves the right to refuse or amend any booking.

Service Types

We offer three service types: in-store appointments at our repair locations, mail-in repairs where you post your device to us, and email quotes for pricing enquiries. Each service type has specific terms outlined in these conditions.

Account Features

Your account provides access to order history, appointment management (including rescheduling and cancellation), saved items, and repair tracking. Screen Fixed may modify or discontinue account features at any time.

Pricing & Quotes

Transparent pricing for all repairs

Repair quotes are provided upfront through our website or upon device inspection. Screen Fixed reserves the right to amend a quote if additional issues are discovered during the repair process. You will be notified of any price changes before work proceeds.

Multi-device discounts may be applied when booking repairs for multiple devices simultaneously. Discount rates are set at Screen Fixed's discretion and may change without notice.

Inspection Fees

Applicable when repairs are declined

If a device is inspected and the customer declines the repair quote, an inspection fee applies: $20 for mobile phones, $30 for tablets, and $50 for laptops. This fee is also charged for devices deemed unrepairable, unless the customer forfeits the device title to Screen Fixed.

Inspection fees are waived if the original quote contained a promotional or pricing error on our part.

Repairs

Screen Fixed repairs mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and other electronic devices. We reserve the right to refuse service on any device.

Manufacturer Warranty

Third-party repairs (including those performed by Screen Fixed) may void the manufacturer's warranty, support entitlements, or waterproof ratings. By requesting a repair, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

Parts & Quality

Repairs may use refurbished or new replacement parts. Visible cosmetic components (such as screens) are always new from the manufacturer when available. Parts may occasionally be out of stock, incorrect, or faulty; no automatic discounts apply in these situations.

Testing

You agree that your device and SIM card may be used for test calls and connectivity checks during the repair process, at your expense.

Turnaround Time

Estimated turnaround times (including appointment durations and mail-in repair timelines) are approximate only. Screen Fixed is not liable for reasonable delays due to parts availability, repair complexity, or other factors beyond our control.

Repair Remedy

If damage occurs during the repair process, Screen Fixed may repair the damage at no charge, provide a replacement device, or reimburse the device's market value. This does not apply where the device was tampered with after repair, had pre-existing impact or liquid damage, had related faults from an unrepairable core issue, arrived disassembled, or used customer-supplied parts.

Subsequent Faults

Screen Fixed is not responsible for faults discovered after the repair that are unrelated to the original service performed. Screen Fixed may issue discretionary discounts at its sole discretion.

Warranty

Screen Fixed provides a warranty on all repairs performed. Full warranty terms, coverage details, conditions, and the claims process are outlined on our dedicated Warranty page.

By using our repair services, you agree to the warranty terms as published on that page at the time of your repair.

Payment

Payment for repairs is collected in-store via Square terminal at the time of service. Screen Fixed does not store your credit card or payment card details. All payment information is handled directly by Square in accordance with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards).

Full payment is required upon completion of the repair, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.

Communications

By using our services, you consent to receiving the following automated communications related to your repairs.

SMS verification codes for account login
Booking confirmation emails with calendar attachments
Quote documents (PDF) for email quote requests
Shipping instructions for mail-in repairs
Repair status updates and notifications
Appointment reminders and rescheduling confirmations

Equipment on Loan

Screen Fixed may, at its discretion, loan a device to you free of charge while your repair is in progress. There is no guarantee that loaned equipment will match your original device or that a loan device will be available.

You will be charged the full replacement cost if any loaned equipment is damaged, modified, or not returned.

Loss of Client Data

While Screen Fixed takes reasonable precautions, we are not liable for the loss of any data stored on your device, including but not limited to photos, videos, contacts, messages, and settings.

You are strongly advised to back up all data before submitting your device for repair. A backup will only be performed if specifically requested at the time of booking or drop-off. If a risk of data loss becomes apparent, Screen Fixed will attempt a backup where possible.

You assume sole responsibility for your data regardless of any backup instructions provided.

Mail-in Repairs

Sending your device to us

When you book a mail-in repair, you will receive shipping instructions via email. You are responsible for packaging your device securely and covering the cost of postage to Screen Fixed. We recommend using a tracked and insured postal service.

Screen Fixed is not liable for damage or loss that occurs during transit to our repair centre.

Appointments

In-store repair bookings

Appointments can be booked through our website and managed via your account dashboard. You may reschedule or cancel appointments through your account, subject to availability.

Screen Fixed reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, technician availability, or parts delays. You will be notified of any changes.

Unclaimed Goods

Devices must be collected promptly once repairs are complete. Devices may be collected by the receipt holder upon presentation of the original receipt and payment of all fees.

Screen Fixed is not liable if a device is released to a non-owner who presents the original receipt. Lost receipt claims require reasonable ownership verification at Screen Fixed's discretion. Third-party collection identification is established at our discretion.

A device will be forfeited for recycling after 30 days if any of the following apply: contact details provided are incorrect, repair fees remain unpaid after completion, no response is received after a quote is provided, or the device is beyond economical repair with no payment or collection arrangement made.

Failure to make contact within the 30-day period constitutes forfeiture of the device in lieu of service payment.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Screen Fixed shall not be liable for any punitive, indirect, special, consequential, or incidental damages arising from your use of our services or website.

Screen Fixed's total liability for any claim relating to a repair is limited to the market value of the device at the time it was delivered to us.

Screen Fixed is not liable for damage caused by third-party software on your device. Any such claims should be directed to the relevant software provider under their end-user licence agreement.

Privacy

How we handle your data

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our services, you consent to the practices described in that policy.

They supersede all prior correspondence, discussions, arrangements, or understandings. Neither party has relied on any warranty or representation outside of those explicitly stated in these documents.

Governing Law

Applicable jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria, Australia. Both parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts in those states.
